Best Indian Restaurants In Dubai

After eating the real deal in India, we are quite picky with our Indian Food. Here is the list of our top addresses when we feel for Indian for different type of locations and occasions. Know any more Indian joints in Dubai we should try? Please share with us where to go in our comments!

Maharaja Bhog

This place is ideal for a super filling and cheap lunch! Also ideal for vegetarians. Usually a fun “local experience” to bring friends or family.
The service is amazing, the guys just refill your plate forever and are so happy to do it. I mean they are sad if you say “no more”.
The food you need to order is everything! It’s a buffet so whatever they have that day, you will get.
We loved the deserts, the white thingy, we don’t event know how to call it but it’s DELISH.
We didn’t like the location. Both their spots are odd and can be a hassle for parking.

In Karama, quite crowded on weekends, so you might wait 15-20 minutes.

Govinda’s

This place is ideal for quality vegetarian Indian food if you want to eat around Beach Road. They also have other options for friends that want Italian and other healthy options. Govinda’s have a healthy menu which is perfect for those that wants to have a mixed crowd invited for dinner!
The service is good, they served us quickly and the meals were prepared quite fast.
The food you need to order is the Chefs Special Salad, it goes really well with the Indian food!
We loved the Palak Paneer, you need to order this one, so good! We LOVED the coconut juice with Custard Apple.. they call it Sitaphal in south India
We didn’t like how dark it was inside, the lighting is odd, definitely not for Instagram pics.

House of Curry

This place is ideal for getting taste of all regions of India. They have a wide range of options for you. If you ant to get some Indian food overlooking the beach on JBR, this is the spot!
The service is very slow, but expected that as it was a busy night. They were extremely polite and knew the menu well.
The food you need to order: Paneer Tikka, it has a little kick to it, but those spices taste so good. Fish dishes are quite good as well if you love fried food like we do!
We loved how beautiful it was inside. There is a huge tree in the middle of the place, totally Instagram material! Their mocktails we’re delicious
We didn’t like the service was very slow, but expected that as it was a busy night.

Bu Qtair Fish Restaurant

This place is ideal for eating casually around kite beach and seafood! Usually a fun “local experience” to bring friends or family.
The service is amazing, it’s like a factory. You line up, order the seafood you want and go sit down to you spot. They then call your name, go pick up your fish and shrimps and add curry, sides etc as it pleases you.
The food you need to order: Shrimps are a must, like TONS. They have a kick but it’s worth it. Fish of course you need to get one full fish and do not forget to add chapatis, rice and the curry sauce on the side! Beware if you can’t eat spicy, make sure you bring a jug of milk haha.
We loved the food. That’s it that’s all.
We didn’t like the new seating area. We loved it more when it was ghetto and we were eating on plastic stools haha!

[$]Bill for two … is quite hard to calculate since it is depending on the weight of the food you get. But the more people you are, the merrier and cheaper to split the bill! Can get out of there paying less than 60 AED (16 USD) each.

Saravanaa Bhojan Shala

This place is ideal for us because it’s walking distance (we live in the Marina). They do delivery and it is cheap. So perfect for a delicious Indian quick fix.
The service is a little bit slow at the outlet itself.
The food you need to order: Palak Paneer, duh, our all time favorite!
We loved the convenience!
We didn’t like … nothing. We kind of  have no expectations there you know? haha!
