Stay Gold Flamingo New Menu: A Celebration of Creativity

Three years after captivating our hearts, enduring our endless visits (and taste buds) with their rock and roll vibe and innovative cocktails, Stay Gold Flamingo has finally released its most extensive menu yet: “That’s A Nice Jacket.” This exciting new chapter celebrates not just the bar’s success, but also the diverse talents of its team.

A Menu with Stripes

Inspired by the bartenders’ signature paint-splattered jackets (a symbol of seniority and experience), “That’s A Nice Jacket” is a collaborative masterpiece. From approachable low-ABV options to complex creations and interactive experiences, there’s something for every cocktail enthusiast.

A Journey Through Flavours:

The menu unfolds like a flavour adventure, divided into colour-themed sections.

  • White: A welcoming space for beginners, featuring easy-to-love creations like the “Minions” ($25) – a playful gin-based drink with hints of almond and banana.
  • Blue: Here, the fun factor takes centre stage. Expect theatricality with tableside service and interactive elements like the “Purple Haze” ($25) – a Remy Martin 1738 Cognac cocktail featuring an edible bath bomb for an extra touch of flair.
  • Purple: For the adventurous, this section pushes boundaries with unique and experimental flavors. Explore the vegetable-forward “Lucky Bunny” ($25) with its crisp pepper notes from cold-pressed elixirs and Grey Goose Vodka.
  • Pink: Inspired by the daytime cafe Flamingo, this section features coffee, wine, and tea-infused drinks perfect for those who enjoy a more nuanced experience. Try the “Flamingo New Yorker” ($25) – an effervescent blend of Peach Oolong Tea, Naked Malt Scotch Whisky, and a delightful wine foam.
  • Red: The heart and soul of Stay Gold, this section reimagines their signature classics with a twist. The “Bitter Lover” ($25) takes the classic Negroni to a new level with a bolder, smokier character thanks to eight-year-old Bacardi.

Beyond the Classics – A Section for Rockstars

For seasoned imbibers and celebratory occasions, a special “Rockstars” section features meticulously crafted cocktails using aged and rare spirits, with some creations reaching $50. Here, you’ll find premium ingredients like Angel’s Envy Bourbon and Awayuki Strawberries from Japan. Now we did not try these ones, but they looked so good.

Food for the Soul (and Stomach)

Complementing the adventurous cocktails is a menu by Head Chef Joanne Sakai, offering elevated comfort food. Dishes draw inspiration from Filipino cuisine and Singapore’s vibrant flavours. Start with playful takes on classics like the “Naked ‘Hubad’ Lumpia” ($16) – a deconstructed spring roll bursting with vegetables, tofu, and a garlic-soy dip. For a sweet ending, indulge in the “Kabocha ‘Cue'” ($14) – a sophisticated twist on a Filipino childhood favourite, featuring Japanese pumpkin glazed with Rum Butter Caramel and topped with Pistachio Feta.

A Place Where Creativity and Community Collide

“That’s A Nice Jacket” is more than just a menu; it’s a testament to Stay Gold Flamingo’s dedication to community and creativity. By empowering their team to showcase their talents, they’ve created a truly unique and diverse menu that caters to every taste bud. So, whether you’re a seasoned cocktail connoisseur or just starting your liquid adventure, head down to Stay Gold Flamingo and let their vibrant team take you on a journey of flavour and fun.
