Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi bay – the ultimate family getaway

Forget the long-haul flight; your next slice of tropical paradise is just an hour away by ferry. My recent stay at Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach felt less like a typical hotel visit and more like stepping into a beautifully curated, culturally rich island hideaway. If you’re craving relaxation mixed with a serious dose of adventure—from the water to the trails—this is your spot.

📍 Location of Hotel Indigo Bintan

You can’t beat the convenience. Tucked away in the Lagoi Beach area, Hotel Indigo is a quick 10-minute drive from the Bintan ferry terminal. Seriously, one minute you’re on the ferry, the next you’re being welcomed with a cool towel and a smile—that’s how smooth the arrival process is. The best part? The resort sits right on the coast, giving you easy, direct access to that gorgeous white sand.

🛏️ Rooms at Hotel Indigo Bintan

The design here is what grabs you first. Every room and suite is inspired by Bintan’s history as a trading post, using warm wood, rattan, and locally inspired art. My room was spacious and felt instantly like a home away from home, not a sterile hotel box. The ocean views from the floor-to-ceiling windows were incredible. And honestly, having a comfy spot on the balcony to just breathe in that sea air? Priceless.

🍽️ Food at Hotel Indigo Bintan

You won’t get bored with the dining, even if you eat on-site for every meal!

  • SugarBEATS: This is the main spot, right by the pool, serving up a great mix of international and Indonesian dishes. We loved their weekend barbecue buffet dinners.
  • Stix Satay Bar: This was my personal favorite! It’s an intimate, izakaya-style spot where you can watch the chefs grill skewers over open flames. Seriously, order the Prawn Stix—the smoked honey glaze is addictive, and it was easily one of the best meals of the trip.

🛠️ Facilities at Hotel Indigo Bintan

The resort itself is laid out beautifully with lush greenery, streams, and comfortable spots to lounge. We spent hours by the two main outdoor pools, sipping drinks and watching the sea.

But here’s a big perk: as an Indigo guest, you get full access to the facilities at the neighbouring Holiday Inn Resort. This is huge because it means:

  • The Spa: We treated ourselves to a rejuvenating massage at the Sunjivva Spa over at the Holiday Inn. After a day of activity, this was the ultimate recharge—worth every minute!
  • The Kids Club: For families, this is a lifesaver! The Kids Club is extensive, featuring water sections, organized day care, and engaging activities led by friendly staff. It gave us the perfect window to enjoy a quiet dinner or that much-needed spa session, knowing the little ones were having a blast.

🗺️ What is Around Hotel Indigo Bintan

While the resort offers more than enough to keep you busy, the hotel runs a free shuttle service to Plaza Lagoi, just a quick five-minute drive away. This allows you to explore local crafts, shops, and small eateries, giving you a taste of the local area.

🌟 Our Personal Overall Experience of Hotel Indigo Bintan

Honestly, this trip was one for the books. The blend of locally inspired, stylish accommodation, genuinely warm service from every single staff member, and the sheer variety of activities—from screaming across the water on a jetski to mud-splattering on an ATV—makes Hotel Indigo Bintan a winner. It’s a real escape that leaves you feeling both relaxed and totally thrilled. Speaking of thrills, we made sure to tackle the ATV experience next door after a thorough safety check, and we also enjoyed a fantastic biking experience around the lake across the road with our guide!

🏷️ Promotions at Hotel Indigo Bintan

When planning, definitely check their current offers! They often feature fantastic bundled packages. Look for deals that include the Two-Way Ferry Tickets and Land Transfers—that alone takes a huge chunk of planning off your plate. You might also snag deals that offer a direct credit toward those fun activities you want to do, or even toward a relaxing treatment at the Sunjivva Spa!
