Breakfast, lunch, dinner. This is what we are used to, but it is now the time to get used to afternoon teas! I’m saying this because I’m from Montréal, Canada and it is quite not our groove and regular activity to go have afternoon tea! Before I get myself too excited in sharing with my fellow Montrealers about afternoon teas, I rather share with you all, worldwide readers, this astounding afternoon tea in Dubai you have to try if you ever pass by town.
Following our great spa day at the Palace Downtown, we headed down to the lobby area at Al Bayt Lounge for afternoon tea. We basically spent 2-3 hours talking, taking photos and obviously eating on delicious treats. You can choose from many different types of afternoon tea experiences. There’s the Arabian, traditional and sometimes they come up with other themed afternoon tea.
Traditional Afternoon Tea
The name gives it away! Get the traditional scones, sandwiches and delicious bites along with a welcome juice, choice of tea or coffee if you feel like it! Although it is traditional, It’s available at 170 AED (~45$US) per person. This includes the afternoon tea stand (no refills) and unlimited infusions. You can book on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Arabian Afternoon Tea
Also offered the same days and time as the traditional afternoon tea, this version might get you more arabian flavours just like chicken shawarmas, ataif velvet pancakes and constant surprises in rotation!
Where is the Palace Downtown?
THE place to have one of the best photos of the Burj Khalifa! The Palace Downtown is right beside the famous landmark and the Dubai Mall.
