One of the most famous buildings the world is located right here in Dubai, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. Thousands of people a year go and visit it, with thousands more taking photos along side it. It is famous for it’s architectural brilliance and being the world’s most luxurious hotel, rated at 7 stars. As a resident of the UAE or tourist, you have to make a stop at this landmark hotel.
To get a seat at one of their amazing restaurants, you will need to book in advance. There is no public access unless you are a guest at the hotel or at their restaurants. If you are booking, make sure to consider Bab Al Yam restaurant on the list. It has reopened its all day dining with a significant upgrade to its interior and exterior design. During a sunny day, this place can be a definite must for Instalovers.
The AdventureFaktory Duo had to go check out Bab Al Yam on a Friday evening!
Walking inside, we were greeted with exceptionally friendly and happy staff, who gave diners a walk through of the menu, pointing out some of the chefs’ specialties. The restaurant’s new menu is created by Maxime Luvara, Executive Chef at Burj Al Arab, and Mohit Bhragava, Bab Al Yam’s Chef de Cuisine. They focus on fresh, seasonal produce and the flavours are inspired by Mediterranean cuisine with Middle Eastern accents.
The venue has a contemporary look with a breathtaking spacious terrace and plush shisha lounges. It was very windy and dark so we couldn’t enjoy some time outside, to gaze the views of the Arabian Gulf and downtown Dubai.
We recommend you to join Bab Al Yam‘s delicious culinary experience both at night, but also during the day, so you can enjoy through the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows, the majestic view of the sea, complimented by the nice pool by the deck.
For the shisha lovers, the outside lounge perfectly complements the relaxing ambience with stylish sun loungers and umbrellas. Looking forward to share with you some day pictures in the future!
Mitch & I are big “brunchers” and foodies. We travel the world not only for the adventure, but for the food. From all brunch and buffets, Bab Al Yam definitely is now on top. Our guess is that if there is something better than this, it must be only from an other restaurant of the Burj Al Arab!
Tips:
- Don’t eat too much before Bab Al Yam!
- The Burj Al Arab has golf carts running back and forth to keep people out of the heat during the summer, but also you can request them to drive you a little bit out so you can get a stunning shot of yourself with the Burj Al Arab! It was too dark, so we passed. Next time it is, perhaps another visit to see the famous Sky View Bar!
