We are always on the lookout for awesome places to eat and chill in Dubai. We had heard some good reports, particularly about the coffee from a new place called INTERSECT By Lexus and we thought we would give it a good try out.
We went for the Iftar, Ramadan Menu on a Thursday night. Located in DIFC, busy times are during the day when businessmen love to come and have their meetings at the location.
As you enter the main doors, the creativity and design of the place really shines through. Designed by Japanese interior designer Masamichi Katayama, INTERSECT BY LEXUS captures the vibrant nature of the DIFC with the passion and influence of Lexus. A stair case leads into a lower floor is immediately upon you, revealing a showroom/event room that currently has a new model Lexus that has been painted by a local artist.
The transparent floor is an another creative aspect here which features 155 Lexus car parts. They have also been painted in a luminescent white which gives a glow when the light dims. However, the best part about the downstairs section is the bathroom. When you walk in there is a wall of hundreds of mini toy cars that feature all the Lexus brands, plus some cool Japanese novelties for you to find out.
After an intriguing walk around and taking hundreds of Instagram worthy photos, we finally sat down in our Lexus leather seats for dinner.
I will let our pictures do the talking but I will say that the food was extremely high quality, clean and well plated. In particular, AdventureFaktory enjoyed most of the dishes with the Kale and Avocado Salad and French Quail.
INTERSECT BY LEXUS is truly unique in the sense that it gives you the experience of driving a Lexus without actually getting behind the wheel. Lexus have made the jump into into the world of food, fashion, art and culture successfully and fluently.
The staff here are wonderful, friendly and enhanced the quality of the evening. We will be coming back here for a lunch and using the space for our work and coffee time.
