There are many food options when you visit Dubai. If you live here, you could go a years eating at different restaurants every night and never go to the same place! We would like to share with you our experience eating at this Canadian spot called Weslodge, a place you can also find poutine in Dubai!
As a Canadian, I need my regular poutine fix. Weslodge is a Canadian joint from Toronto and sure serve poutine, which is traditionally fries, gravy and cheese curds.
Where is Weslodge
It is located in the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. It is at the 68th floor and you will get an incredible view of the Burj Khalifa.
Style and looks of Weslodge
You will be greeted by a long bar with high stools. Weslodge has a very lounging feel and does indeed have a lot of professionals working around end up there for after work drinks. The decoration is quite swell with an Wild West saloon feel.
Eating at Weslodge
At Weslodge, they encourage the diners to share everything on the menu with delicious dishes like our favourite ahi tuna ceviche, smoky beef tartare and poutine, YES, poutine <3. What we have tried so far? The Lobster Poutine, of course, the Southern Fried Chicken with Tabasco Honey, the Ahi Tune Ceviche (way too good and the sesame crackers makes it even more perfect), Smoky Beef Tartare, Westlodge Burger and sliders, the meat that you absolutely HAVE to try with their char grill oven and so much more. For desert you HAVE to eat the S‘mores, the best thing ever!
Weslodge quick review
This place is ideal for social occasions and couples date spot.
The service is very good and responsive when you need something.
The food you need to order is poutine, s’mores, burger and the foie gras waffles.
We loved the foie gras waffles best!
We didn’t like the smoking, although it isn’t that bad.
Bill for two 600-800 AED (~150-220$US) depending if you drink a lot or not and the amount of starters you go for.
Last year, went to eat Canada day at Weslodge and sure was happy! Look at the menu for it!
