Things to do in Dubrovnik

What to do in Dubrovnik

Do you watch Game of Thrones? Then you might have heard of this destination in Croatia named Dubrovnik. Visit one of the most popular filming spots! Check out things to do in Dubrovnik next time you visit.

Visit Stari Grad, the Old Town!

This is an obvious thing to do in Dubrovnik, to check out this UNESCO world heritage! You will recognize many spots which have been the set to film scenes of “Kings Landing”. There is no costs to visit the Old Town, just grab your map and venture in all the alleys!

Watch the Sunset on Mount Srd

Best view you can get overlooking Dubrovnik! You will see the entire city, the see and of course the sun going down on the city that will get a beautiful golden hour glow. There is a hiking trail that will lead you up there. If hiking isn’t too much your thing, mostly during the hot summer, you can catch the cable car for a fee.

Island hop to Lokrum Island

Catch the 10 minute journey long boat to Lokrum for lots of beautiful nature and a much more calmer spot to bathe in the sea. If you like swimming, this little island has plenty of them and this might make you want to spend a proper day to escape de crowds in Dubrovnik! You can also see an abandoned 11th-century Benedictine Monastery. You should also hike up to the highest point of the 19th-century Fort Royal for great views over the Adriatic.

Eat tons of seafood from Ston

One hour or so away is the town of Mali Ston, known for its seafood and its incredible oysters. When in Dubrovnik, find restaurants that will serve fresh ones from Mali Ston. You won’t be disappointed to experience this amazing food.

Go Clif Jumping

It’s hard to give you the exact location, but if you venture around Cafe Buža, you will find incredible spots to cliff jump. Please don’t be stupid and go only if you see other locals to it. They know the waters well and where are the rocks, so don’t be that person that jumps without knowing where they would land.

Fun Activities at Banje Beach

10 minutes away from the Old Town, you will find Banje Beach. If you don’t mind crowds, you have to at least visit this beach once! The water is also very clear and a lot of people like to snorkel there. You can also do some water-skiing and parasailing.

Dubrovnik has so much to offer. We really can’t wait to go back a little bit longer to experience more things and share them with you.
