Canada: Visiting the Montreal Canadiens Locker Room (NHL)

Visiting the home of the Montreal Canadiens

Since meeting my AdventureFaktory partner in crime, I have adopted a new sporting team – the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Thuymi’s passion for the organization combined with the rich history of her team has made it an easy team to follow. It has also helped they have been ultra successful, leading the competition in most Stanley Cup victories (24 cups). Their style they play mixed with the absolute madness with the supporters, I was really hoping they would go all the way this year. So when we planned our trip to Montreal, I made sure that Thuymi arranged us a Bell Centre visit. And that is exactly what happened. We had a guided tour through the famous arena and got to see where the VIP’s dined, the media lounge and also got to stroll through the Habs Hall of Fame to get some more of that rich history!

How to do a Bell Center Visit

Even though we had a private tour around, visiting the locker room of the Montreal Canadiens is actually possible for the public. You simply have to book the Bell Center Guided Tours. This is offered in French and in English. Best is to call and see when they offer the next tours considering events at the Bell Center are quite regular and particularly during the hockey season. The tour costs 12$CA for kids up to 16 years old and seniors, 20$CA for the adults.

What you get to see during the tour

Like I said, it is VERY important to know that Bell Centre tours are not available daily as the service does not run on days that events, concerts and/or hockey games are on. The best moment to visit is usually during the summer time, although the downside is that the ice might not be done! With your Bell Centre tour ticket, you will be able to see all the below areas, but note that areas visited may change without notice. For full details, check out the Bell Centre website.

  • Arena
  • Press gallery
  • Jacques Beauchamp Lounge
  • Alumni Lounge
  • Canadiens Dressing Room (It cannot be visited on game days and unfortunately visits are always subject to availability.)
  • Press Conference Room
  • Luxury Suite
  • Builders Row
