If you are planning to visit the UAE, you should spare a couple of days to see the capital Abu Dhabi. There are many option of places to stay for different type of needs. For our anniversary, we decided to jump in the car and do a road trip from Dubai to stay on the Corniche of Abu Dhabi.
Where is Hilton Abu Dhabi Located?
An hour south of Dubai is the capital of UAE, Abu Dhabi. It is also the second largest populations of expats in the country. The Hilton is located on the corniche, which is 5 minutes from the city centre. The Abu Dhabi airport is only 30 minutes away and is all highway getting in, so it is super quick.
Things Around Hilton Abu Dhabi
From our sea view bedroom now I can see the magnificent Emirates Palace which is one of the most visited places in Abu Dhabi. The Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world, is only 20 minutes by taxi. The Heritage Village, Corniche and Marina Mall are all walking distance. Ferrari World, with the worlds largest Roller-coaster is only 15 minutes away.
Eat And Drink At Hilton Abu Dhabi
There are many F&B’s at the Hilton AbuDhabi. We had Dinner at Bocca, a quality Italian restaurant that has won several Abu Dhabi food awards. We were in love with the salmon and ravioli, must orders!
The breakfast is at La Terrazza, a traditional western style breakfast. This breakfast has tons of healthy options as well so we really enjoyed it. Don’t expect to find Arabic style breakfast at La Terrazza!
For lunch, we recommend you to go at Vasco’s by the corniche. On Fridays, their brunch deal is amazing at only 199 AED (55$US). For the expats living there, you can get free beach access if you come and have brunch there!
Hilton Abu Dhabi Facilities
The main attraction is the Beach Club across the road from the hotel. Exclusive to Hilton Hotel members, there are several pools, couches and eating areas. We spent all day there just lounging around. There is also a high quality gym, tennis courts and a Spa. We did a scrub treatment which made our skin feeling silky smooth, the spa team were so good!
One of our favourite things we did was a gym session at the fitness centre with Marko the Personal Trainer. He ran us through an hour session but not of conventional training. We did trigger point training, which focused on stretching and releasing pressure all over our body. Marko knew absolutely everything about how to get the body working in top condition. He is very highly recommended if you are staying at the Hilton or if you are based in Abu Dhabi!
Hilton Abu Dhabi Rates
Rates vary depending of the time you book and the season! Compare prices on different booking websites and on the Hilton’s website to make sure you get the best rates!
How Was The Stay?
As residents of Dubai, it as great to travel down the highway and get away from the busy town. We celebrated our 3 year anniversary and it was amazing to walk in the room with roses all over the bed. Someone then came and dropped us a bigger surprise, a cake, some goodies and a red wine. You know a hotel is good when they do something about your special moments!
The beach in Abu Dhabi is very enjoyable and water is slightly more blue than in Dubai! We loved the beach club and the many pools around the facilities.
