L’Usine has always been one of my favourite places in Saigon and this since forever, when I moved there in 2015. It was my favourite hang out for lunch, to shop nice curated and hipster items, but also the perfect place to go for coffee and catch up with people. For me, L’Usine Space is a Saigon institution and I can’t imagine the city without it.
You could describe L’Usine creative space to be with food you know that will be good quality. There you can find your Western favourites with a delicious coffee.
L’usine’s retail space brings together emerging Vietnamese talent and many foreign designers.
My favourite L’Usine location is near the opera house, hidden away down a narrow alley and set in an upstairs loft. That building itself is a must visit, holding many influences from the French occupation. With French Colonial vibes, the restaurant and cafe do both have a strong French influence, mixed with traditional Vietnamese flavours and ingredients.
With its tremendous success, it’s not a surprise that L’Usine has many locations. The many locations includes L’Usine Le Thanh Ton, L’Usine Dong Khoi, L’Usine Thao Dien, L’Usine Grab and Go and L’Usine Phu My Hung. Sadly one that I used to go often on Le Loi is no more.
