Sanctuary in the City: Pan Pacific Orchard

Stepping into the Pan Pacific Orchard is less like entering a traditional city hotel and more like discovering a magnificent, vertical oasis. Designed by the visionary architects at WOHA, this hotel doesn’t just incorporate greenery; it is defined by it, rising as a series of four distinct “Sky Terraces”—the Forest, Beach, Garden, and Cloud—that redefine urban luxury. Our recent stay here was nothing short of spectacular, blending exceptional service with groundbreaking design, and we highly recommend it for travellers seeking tranquility without sacrificing connectivity. I think one of the most impressive things about the hotel is its ability to look so unique at every turn.

Location of Pan Pacific Orchard

The Pan Pacific Orchard boasts a premium address at 10 Claymore Road, placing it just a stone’s throw from the heart of Singapore’s legendary shopping and lifestyle belt. The immediate location is both a huge advantage and a welcome respite. While it is directly adjacent to Orchard Road—meaning world-class shopping and dining are literally steps away—the hotel is cleverly tucked slightly back, ensuring that the bustling city noise fades away as soon as you step into the towering Forest Terrace lobby. This perfect balance of accessibility and serenity makes it an unparalleled base for exploring the city.

Rooms at Pan Pacific Orchard

The rooms are designed to reinforce the experience of the different nature-themed strata, offering a boutique feel. We were immediately struck by the sophisticated, modern design and the abundance of natural light streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The rooms are moderately sized, but the layout is immaculate, utilizing creative sliding doors to maximize the sense of space. Sustainable touches are everywhere, from the in-room filtered water dispenser (a huge plus!) that replaces single-use plastic bottles, to the motion sensors that intelligently manage lighting and air conditioning. For those seeking extra luxury, the Premier Balcony or Pacific Club rooms are highly sought after, offering private outdoor space overlooking the lush terraces or the vibrant city skyline. Due to the rest of the hotel and its facilities, we actually didnt spend too much time in the room.

Food at Pan Pacific Orchard

Dining at the Pan Pacific Orchard is an event in itself. The culinary offerings seamlessly integrate with the hotel’s tiered design. The signature restaurant is Mosella, which offers a vibrant Mediterranean sharing concept with a touch of Peruvian flair, specializing in dishes grilled over charcoal. We thoroughly enjoyed the impressive breakfast spread here, which features everything from international favorites to local delicacies like a local laksa. For a lighter, more relaxed experience, the Pacific Breeze in the open-air Forest Terrace is perfect for enjoying Hainanese Chicken Rice or a club sandwich surrounded by the calming sound of cascading water. In the evening, the chic and stylish Florette bar, located on the Garden Terrace, is the ideal spot for a signature cocktail, champagne, and fresh oyster platters, set against the backdrop of glittering city views. We actually really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Mosella, as we could take our time to relax with a coffee, watching all the busy people start their day.

Facilities at Pan Pacific Orchard

The facilities here are truly what set the hotel apart. Instead of a single crowded space, the amenities are spread across the four incredible Sky Terraces. The highlight is undoubtedly the Beach Terrace, a tropical oasis floating above Orchard Road, featuring a large, organically-shaped emerald lagoon pool with a meandering sandy beachfront and palm groves. It honestly feels like a resort transported into the city. Wellness seekers will appreciate the St. Gregory Spa for pampering treatments and the indoor and outdoor gyms. Guests with Pacific Club access also benefit from the Pacific Club Lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails and canapés—a wonderful perk that elevates the overall experience. We spent a large chunk of time here as we were able to get coffees on demand, as well as snacks while we worked off the laptops. If you can, make sure your room gives you the lounge access.

What is Around Pan Pacific Orchard

The immediate neighborhood is a shopper’s paradise. Luxury boutiques, major department stores, and high-end malls like ION Orchard and Palais Renaissance are moments away. Beyond shopping, the location offers cultural accessibility. The hotel is close to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Singapore Botanic Gardens, which offers a lush escape perfect for a morning run or leisurely afternoon stroll. For those looking to explore Singapore’s multicultural tapestry, the well-connected transport network (the hotel is near Orchard MRT Station) makes visiting vibrant districts like Little India and Chinatown a breeze. The gardens in the evening is a must for any runner or walker.

Our Personal Overall Experience of Pan Pacific Orchard

Our time at the Pan Pacific Orchard was defined by architectural wonder and first class service. The staff were proactive and genuinely warm, anticipating our needs without being intrusive, particularly in the dining facilities where a menu or cold water was often in our hands before we had even thought of it. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability—reflected in its Green Mark Platinum certification and biophilic design—resonated deeply with us. The innovative use of green space makes the entire building feel airy and relaxing, completely transforming the urban hotel experience. The green areas are also perfect to lounge, enjoy the dun or breeze and escape the rat race. It’s an ideal stay for both business and leisure travelers who prioritize style, comfort, and environmental consciousness. We left feeling refreshed and inspired, already planning our return to this exceptional sanctuary.

Promotions at Pan Pacific Orchard

The hotel frequently offers attractive packages, making this luxury experience accessible. We noticed several ongoing promotions during our research and stay. These often include the “Advance Purchase Rate” for significant savings on the best available rate, especially when booking well ahead. They also frequently offer Mid-Year Offer Breakfast Rates which include daily breakfast and flexible cancellation policies. For those seeking an extended stay, specific packages often bundle in complimentary access to the club lounge benefits, or value-added bonuses like an SG$50 hotel credit per stay, a complimentary room upgrade (subject to availability), and late check-out. It’s definitely worth checking their official website for the latest seasonal offers, such as the F1 Singapore Night Race or festive dining packages at Mosella, to maximize your value.
