Saturday : Waking up fairly late, we left to The Original Pancake, but since there was a waiting time of 30 minutes, I decided to take a walk to find something to nom nom. Ended up finding Poutine…I couldn’t resist to stay at Independent Coffee to try it out! It was delicious and we still went to enjoy some pancakes afterwards.

In the afternoon, we took it easy by chilling at a coffee shop, The Banana & Co. Everything on the menu is 4,500 W onwards, but my guess is because we are in Gangnam.

21, Yeok sam 1 dong | FB | 4sq | Maps | Go to Gangnam Station, Exit 11

Without knowing it, that area is one of the good streets of Seoul for cafes. Being near to the transportation hub of Gangnam Station, which is convenient for everyone with all the buses, that street is one of the most popular places to meet up to hang out. This applies for business professionals but as well for the college students! Make sure to visit the other popular cafes in the area: Coffee Gallery & Healing616

Our evening plans was to see the best Korean BBQ in town, Two Plus, that specializes in Korean Hanwoo 1++ beef (It’s the highest rating for Korean Beef 1++, 1+, 1, 2, 3), hence the name Two Plus. It was a recommendations of Jin, a friend in Vietnam, but it happened to be where all our new friends that work at Samsung with Matt were going anyway. Itaewon‘s location has a very dark & chic interior. Careful if you Google the place, you might find the other location! It wasn’t easy to find the guys. It was delicious, such a shame I wasn’t too hungry.

Two Plus | Address: B1 124-15 Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu

The menu only has few main choices: Aged Striploin at 34,000W for 150g, Marinated Aged Striploin Chop at 35,000W & Aged Tenderloin at 38,000W. Then you can get Bulgogi, Beef Tartare & Sides of Noodles.

Tip: Make sure next time you catch the Dine Hill 50% off deal! It’s usually in April. Check out the website and translate it to English!

We then went to a speakeasy, House Ming, not so crowded, but we had a good time. At the end of the night, one of the guys brought us to the Hooker Hill, where we ended up in a random bar* playing country music. What is HH? Well it’s a street that goes uphill and is very similar to the red light district in Amsterdam… but with less girls!

I am so sad, I lost my Chanel scarf after that in the cab, I wasn’t even drunk! Great day, but sad ending 🙁

// Samedi : Se réveiller tôt, NOT.
