Storage in Singapore: Our positive StorHub experience

In Singapore, there may often be times when you will need storage. Either you need to be downsizing, waiting for some accommodation to be ready, or may you are even considering travelling the world and need some space. 

We searched through as many of the providers as we could and have come up with one that we are going to go through with. There is a lot to go through and some charge so much money or are in inconvenient locations. Storage money to us sort of feels like dead money, so you want to make sure you are getting a good rate, but also feel safe that your goods are being looked after.

Our Storhub Experience

Once we have made our decision and had a consultation call, the next thing for us to do is to go and pack to get our things ready for our move. StorHub does not do the moving for me, however, they have a list of trusted removalists if you are looking for an option. 

Moving is something of a touchy subject for us, as we are busy and tend to stress over this, so I want to make sure that nothing was going to go wrong. The recommended removalists come in and take everything out of our house in 40 minutes, loaded it onto the truck and headed to the storage location.

You will need to be there as you need to sign the documents and make sure nothing is broken etc. The process on the other side was just as quick and painless as the first move so that really relaxed us. In terms of the paperwork, you just need to sign electronically and a copy of the contract will be immediately sent to your email. Quick and painless 🙂

They have different sized rooms that you can choose from. We were recommended the 50sq ft option, this was the one for which I was not sure about.  I was so wrong as they placed everything in lies a jigsaw puzzle as it EASILY fit – 30 boxes – five suitcases and a big old couch

When looking for storage, you need to make sure that you find something that is safe. Most importantly for us, find a company that is a good communicator. These are your personal items so having someone on the other end who can give you precise and clear information is essential. StorHub is the preferred choice for us.
