Year End Festivities at Conrad Centennial Singapore

"Taste of Christmas" at The Conrad Singapore's Oscars Restaurant

Oscars Restaurant at the Conrad Hotel Singapore is having all sorts of great festivities over the Christmas and New Year celebrations period. With the new restrictions coming in to place (Phase 3 in Singapore) starting soon, make sure you get your bookings in ASAP!

All done in the newly made genre of À la carte Buffet style (thanks COVID), the food is bought out to you and you can order as much as you want! Best part of this way of eating post-Covid is that you don’t even need to get up to go get your meals!

The main festive buffet to attend is the Eat Drink and Be Merry, perfect for a gathering for a festive feast with the family, an annual ritual with friends, seasonal celebration with colleagues or even a date with a loved one! Otherwise, it is also a great excuse to go for a leisurely lunch or an indulgent dinner because the food is THAT good and of great quality.

Perfect for starters, get some Slow braised pork with Jam tartine and Chicken Liver Pate. As the food gets ordered, the meals came at a steady rate as we sipped on cocktails and enjoyed each others company. Note that this is an À la carte buffet, so you can keep ordering the dishes that you like the most!

If you choose the alcoholic package, I’d say you will probably enjoy the whole experience even more! While the food was coming we were also being offered plenty of beverages (both alcoholic and non alcoholic ) to choose from.

As the meals got slightly larger, we were handed the Charcoal Grilled Lobster, which was a treat. All of these are smaller portions, so if you are looking for a massive portions sizes this is not for you, but again, you can keep re-ordering your favourites.

With each meal being immaculately plated, we were served the Sous Vide Lamb Chop and the Braised Chestnut, Pork Belly and Mushroom. I have to mention these together as I do not know which one I enjoyed more, maybe the Lamb Chop…. just.

To top off the evening of goodies, we finished off the servings with Truffle Glazed Boneless Ham and Stuffed Crab Shell. I prefer the Ham and Thuymi loves the Crab so we swapped and we both enjoyed plenty of our favourite dishes.

Probably my favourite feature of the evening is the Chefs Carving Trolley. It is a rolling trolley that comes around and serves you massive slices of juicy goodness. On the trolley find: Roasted Turkey, Cranberry bread stuffing, Glazed Chestnut, Roasted Brussel Sprout and Turkey Jus.

We even had the Gin Train come around, one of the cocktail makers come to each table and prepare you something according to your taste and preference.

For deserts, there are many choices. Find on the menu Christmas Fruit Cake, Mini Yule Log, Classic Creme Brulée, Seasonal Fruit Platter, Ice-cream, Pavlova, Caramel Maple Pecan Tart and much more!

We finished the night off in style. As we were about to leave, the team told us we had forgotten our dessert. Curious and unsure what they were talking about, they handed us a Snowman Mini Yule Log cake, and not just any log.  It consisted of a Panettone Almond Sponge, Chestnut Cream, Vanilla Mousse and Ganache. So good to take home and share with your friends and family. This was a little media gift, but this delicious cake is actually for sale!
