When it comes to luxury stays in the Lion City, few names carry as much weight as The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Known for its iconic octagonal windows and legendary service, this architectural marvel recently served as our home away from home. Travelling as a family of four—including Grandma and our energetic one-year-old boy—we were curious to see how a high-end city hotel would handle a toddler. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, it was clear that the “Ladies and Gentlemen” of The Ritz-Carlton don’t just accommodate families; they celebrate them.
Location of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
Nestled in the heart of Marina Centre, the hotel boasts one of the most enviable addresses in Singapore. It’s perfectly positioned for those who want to be in the thick of the action while maintaining a sense of sanctuary. We were just a short, stroller-friendly walk away from the Singapore Flyer, ArtScience Museum, and the Esplanade. For a family with a toddler, being centrally located means less time in transit and more time exploring (or getting back for that essential afternoon nap).
Rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
The accommodations here are famously spacious, and our room was no exception. The luxurious accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore are designed to maximize the view of Marina Bay. Waking up to the floor-to-ceiling vistas overlooking the city skyline and the shimmering water is an experience that never gets old.
But the real magic was in the details for our son. The hotel had a sturdy, comfortable cot ready upon arrival, complete with specialized baby toiletries. The “Ritz Kids” program is clearly top-tier; our little guy even had his own mini bathrobe! The legendary bathroom, featuring that iconic octagonal window, turned bath time into a scenic event as we watched the city lights twinkle while he splashed around.

Food at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
If you’re a foodie, prepare to be in heaven. Our stay was centered around the Easter Escape experience, which included an exclusive welcome amenity: a beautifully crafted, limited-edition edible display that looked almost too good to eat (though we certainly did!).
Colony Buffet Breakfast
As part of our Easter package, we enjoyed breakfast at Colony. This isn’t just a buffet; it’s a journey through Singapore’s culinary history. With seven “conservatory” kitchens, the variety is staggering. For our one-year-old, the staff went above and beyond, offering high chairs immediately and suggesting soft, healthy options from the steamed dim sum and fresh fruit sections.

Seasonal Strawberry Afternoon Tea
We spent a leisurely afternoon at The Ritz Lounge for their Seasonal Strawberry Afternoon Tea. Under the stunning mother-of-pearl skylight, we were treated to five tiers of berry-inspired bliss. From savory smoked salmon with strawberry accents to the most delicate Japanese strawberry tarts, it was a masterclass in seasonal patisserie.
Summer Pavilion Dinner
The highlight of our final evening—falling on the last night of Chinese New Year—was dinner at the one MICHELIN star Summer Pavilion. The atmosphere was electric with festive joy. We were served dish after dish of incredible Cantonese cuisine: succulent abalone, delicate bird’s nest, and the signature poached rice with lobster. Despite being a fine-dining venue, the staff were incredibly kind to our son, ensuring he felt like part of the celebration. We even did a Lo Hei to wish for prosperity and health.
Facilities at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
Beyond the dining, the hotel is a treasure trove of art and relaxation. The 4,200-piece contemporary art collection (including works by Frank Stella and Dale Chihuly) makes a simple walk to the elevator feel like a gallery tour.
The Ritz-Carlton Club experience on Level 32 is a game-changer. The Club Lounge offers five daily culinary presentations and a “Drawing Room” where you can sketch the bay. What stood out most was the kind and attentive staff; they quickly learned our son’s name and his preference for apple juice, making us feel like VIPs every time we walked through the doors.

What is Around
Being connected to Millenia Walk and Marina Square malls means you have instant access to pharmacies, supermarkets, and indoor play areas—total lifesavers when traveling with a toddler. We took the little one for a stroll along the Waterfront Promenade, which is wide, flat, and perfect for burning off some energy before dinner.
Our Personal Overall Experience
Our stay was the perfect blend of high-end luxury and genuine family warmth. Often, parents feel they have to choose between a “cool” hotel and a “kid-friendly” one, but The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore proves you can have both. Watching our son point excitedly at the “big ball” (the Singapore Flyer) from our bedroom window is a memory we’ll cherish. The service here is proactive rather than reactive, which is exactly what you need when traveling with a little one.
Promotions at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
If you’re planning a visit, keep an eye on their Easter Escape and Auspicious Beginnings packages, which often include breakfast at Colony, themed welcome amenities, and hotel credits. For the ultimate experience, we highly recommend booking a Club Level room—the personalized service and 24-hour access to the lounge are worth every penny.
