A different way to spend an evening in Dubai with friends at the multi-sensory, multi-media immersive Theatre of Digital Art at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah singing along to Christmas tunes and jazz classics by the Suspenders Jazz Trio. Each song with its own box backdrop of falling snowflakes, floating raindrops, the familiar Great Gatsby frames and peaceful lilies in a pond.
Sitting on bean bags and sipping on hot coca, my heart was surely feeling the glitz and glam! An evening to remember as we ended off with a special song request, ‘fly me to the moon’ and ladies’ night at The Belgium Beer Café.
A live band and friends are all you need for the Christmas tunes to keep rolling the entire ride home. Oh, and let’s not forget the delicious gingers at the Christmas market also conveniently located at the Madinat Jumeirah.
About the Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA Dubai)
Permanently housed at Souk Madinat Jumeirah, it will offer two weekly live music nights. On Monday and Wednesday nights from 8 PM to 11 PM, customers at Dubai’s biggest digital art space will be able to enjoy immersive art shows with a live soundtrack of solo cellist Soren Lyng Hansen and the Suspenders Jazz Trio.
On Mondays, classically trained solo cellist Soren Lyng Hansen will play three 45-minute sessions, live solo versions of the beautiful soundtrack that accompanies ‘From Monet to Kandinsky. Revolutionary Art’, including Mozart, Ennio Morricone, Nils Frahm and John Williams.
On Wednesdays, the Suspenders Jazz Trio will bring their take on some well-known jazz classics and standards including Fly Me To The Moon, Let There Be Love, Quando and Come Fly With Me, through to a selection of festive jazz pieces.
In addition, ToDA is launching a festive offer from December 10-26 which will give families who buy two adult tickets one child’s ticket for free.
