Baku was a very odd stop for us. We always wanted to take our time and visit all of the Old Town and the modern architecture, except, in our case, we were on the edge to catch a ferry from Alat, Azerbaijan to Aktau, Kazakhstan. The ferry process is such a mess that even though we had a good 3 days at the Four Seasons Hotel Baku to relax, it wasn’t as relaxing as we wanted as we were constantly with the concierge trying to figure out when the ferry leaves (schedule is never set).
Nonetheless, Baku was outstanding with some great hidden local food joints and wonderful people. Staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Baku was definitely a highlight with its lavish and relaxing pool and spa facilities. We barely wanted to go out of the room and extended breakfast to its maximum as food and all the juices were too good to just nibble at.
We hope you enjoy our postcards below of our Baku, Azerbaijan journey and book your flight soon! From Dubai, you can get an affordable and easy flight with FlyDubai.
