Things to do in Dubai during Winter

Winters are amazing times in the UAE as well as many other places in the Middle East. With summers being very hot and almost impossible to do many outdoor activities, Winter is the moment of the year between October to March to do fun activities! If you are new to Dubai and planning to visit, Winter is the perfect time to do the most on your journey. Note that it is also high season for tourism so do book your hotel and activities as much in advance as possible!

Hot Air Ballooning in Dubai

Seeing the dunes from the sky is an unreal experience. It’s like flying over makeup bronzer ! Patterns are wonderful and seeing it at the height of a Hot Air Balloon is perfect.

Skydiving in Dubai

Although we have never done it ourselves, this is one of the ultimate things to do in Dubai. We believe it is one of the most beautiful places to do Skydiving because of the incredible view of the Dubai Palm Jumeirah. We absolutely can’t wait to do it.

Camping in the dunes of Dubai

Real camping or glamping, the UAE and Dubai sure has it all. We enjoy both and absolutely try to do it every year if we are not travelling abroad. For glamping, we can recommend you Al Maha from The Luxury Collection or the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi in Ras Al Khaimah.

Discovering Nature and the Desert

The UAE is home to incredible sights. Just in Dubai itself, you can go to wonderful places like Hatta and Al Qudra Lakes to be able to see different sceneries than the urban landscape. The photo below was taken at the Al Quadra lakes.

Dune bashing (by car, buggy or motorcycle)

Depending on your experience and also what you are up to do, going to the dunes for some extreme riding is such an amazing experience! We personally have done it all except on a two-wheel. We strongly recommend you to check-out options with Arabian Adventures and Off Road zone for these types of experiences!

Water Sports in Dubai

Kayaking, Jet-skiing, Wake-boarding, surfing, SUP, name it, you can do it in the UAE and Dubai. Dubai also has many good schools to learn wind-surfing or other water sports so make sure to plan in advance all these exciting activities.

Outdoor Brunch

If doing active things aren’t much your jazz, there is always the option to lay on the beach or go to a brunch! Brunches are an all-year activity in Dubai, but winters are the perfect occasion to book scenic outdoors brunch to be able to enjoy the wonderful weather of Dubai.

Rent a boat

You can also do this all year long but it is significantly better to jump on a boat during the winter time in Dubai! It’s a great way to see Dubai landmarks like the Atlantis Hotel, the Burj Al Arab and the Marina from the sea.
