AdventureFaktory’s USA/Canada trip has been full of amazing sites and great memories. One thing that will stick with me is the way sport is sold over here. It is an entire business and I love every minute of it. Continuing my run of seeing sport in the USA, I managed to get $18 tickets to watch the New York Mets baseball team live in action.
Based out in Queens, east of Manhattan, the Mets play at Citi Field. I was actually quite impressed with the layout. It was a very easy stadium to watch the game.
We stocked up on every food we could get from the eatery, found our seats and settled in. It was great weather for an evening game in Queens.
During the game we witnessed something very different. One of the Mets players, Flores was crying in the field. We were totally confused what was going on. Then some of the fans around us found out that he had been traded, during the game! This is not too unusual, however, common practice is to remove player from game. Instead they told him he was traded away from his home team, and they made him stay in the game. He was visibly upset about this news.
Here are some of the pictures from the game.
