Waldorf Astoria Dubai in DIFC

Waldorf Astoria Dubai DIFC

We checked-in the Waldorf Astoria in DIFC, Dubai’s Financial District, late in the evening, tired, jet-lagged and in need of a good shower. We were met by smiling faces that instantly made us feel like we were coming back home. The staffs’ energy was contagious as we picked up our legs and made it to the reception.

After an easy and quick check-in, we went up to the room. We had been booked into a King Premier Room, and yes, it was fit for a King. There are huge windows to enjoy the view you get, which in our case was the DIFC view looking over the gate.

The attention to detail in the room, from the feature wall, with all little home like artefacts, to the personalized welcome treats for us to munch on, made the room feel very much like home, a welcome we needed after almost three months away from Dubai. The room was really everything we wished for after coming back to that long haul flight.

The fitness centre is a long rectangular shape full of both high-quality fitness and weight equipment. The fitness centre has water, refreshing towels, TV’s and a wide range of standard and non-conventional pieces to suit the beginner or an expert. Simple but with everything you need.

The dining area, Bull and Bear, is an incredible eating destination. Worth to come here for the food alone, the view of the worlds tallest building, the Burj Khalifa is right in front of you. Tip, make sure you get to breakfast early to grab a table by the side of the windows to get a good view, it will be worth it. Our breakfast of avocado on toast and shakshouka was a highlight of our stay. We even went back again for lunch that’s how much we loved eating there.

The swimming pool is our favourite part of the hotel so make sure you pack your swimmers for your business trip to Dubai. Plenty of space, sunbeds, first-class service and a view of the Burj Khalifa makes for a great way to unwind and enjoy. For a business-oriented hotel, it sure has the service and leisure facilities for you to relax while in town for work.

If you want to have meetings, you can go to Peacock Alley. It is an immaculately designed area with tables for a casual coffee meeting with someone. There is also a cigar lounge area in the back for more intimacy.

The Waldorf Astoria DIFC also has spa facilities that you can book some relaxing treatments. Another great stay here and certainly was not long enough for us. If you are looking for a hotel downtown Dubai or in the DIFC area, make sure to consider this new addition in town, hospitality signed Waldorf Astoria.
