The Westin Maldives opened in October 2018. The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo is around a 35-minute seaplane flight from Male and located in the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO-protected biosphere. You can also get to the resort via domestic flight from MLE to Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV), followed by a 20-minute speedboat ride. The latter option is best if you arrive after the time of the resort’s cutoff time for a seaplane transfer. The airport is chaotic, but each hotel will have a rep ready to help you.
The Westin is an all-villa property, with each of the villas being a standalone unit. The standard room category at the Westin Maldives Miriandhoo is the Beach Villa, a modest-sized room with modern décor featuring an outdoor shower, a deck with seating area and two beach chairs and a cute little plunge pool. At the Westin Maldives, all the beach villas and beach suites have direct beach access and they are fairly private, thanks to the many plants and trees surrounding the villas. There are 29 different overwater suites on two different sections of the island, with options to be on the sunrise or sunset side.
Westin is a wellness-focused resort, with many of the activities focused on health & wellness. There are complimentary daily yoga and meditation classes covering various topics, like for example, sleep.

The Westin Maldives has a large gym with state-of-the art gym equipment. With glass windows from top to bottom, the view from the gym is stunning. There is a personal trainer available on site and even also loan guests New Balance-brand fitness shoes and apparel if you didn’t pack any and found the gym appealling to join for a sweat!
The Westin Maldives is home to its chain known spa brand Heavenly Spa by Westin. It is located in the eastern side of the island. It features a number of treatment rooms and was built over the water. Again with a lot of glass windows, the spa also offers exceptional views out to the ocean.
